Fig. 1 — U.S. Patent No. D979,422 S — Vlad Sukhanov, Inventor
The design
This design reclaims the otherwise wasted space allocated for the kitchen air gap. The dispenser seats directly over the air gap port — leaving the counter clear and the sink area easier to keep tidy.
Made from recycled PP in multiple finishes, the product is built for a long service life — reducing single-use plastic and improving the appearance of the sink area at the same time.
U.S. Patent No. US D979,422 SHow it works
Most kitchen sinks include a countertop air gap — a small chrome cap that prevents backflow in the dishwasher drain. This dispenser base is shaped to slip over that port exactly.
The tapered base seats against the air gap flange and the weight of the filled reservoir keeps it stable during pumping — no drilling, no adhesive, no mounting hardware needed.
Remove the dispenser for counter cleaning in one motion. The air gap and drain line beneath remain fully accessible and unobstructed at all times, as required by plumbing codes.
